Parmesan Toasts

Parmesan Toasts

This cheesy adaptation of bruschetta makes a simple appetizer. And because it's made with our fat free Oikos you can enjoy a little extra.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups parmesan-reggiano cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Oikos® Greek Plain Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 French baguette, cut into 1 inch slices

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In small bowl, combine cheese, garlic, yogurt, olive oil, oregano and parsley.
  3. On baking sheet, arrange baguette in a single layer; spread cheese mixture.
  4. Broil until the cheese is melted and golden, about 3 minutes.
